Responsibilities

Serve as a resource on software development projects and lead the development team through the design, development, documentation, testing, and modification of existing/new software applications, while championing standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Participate in architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build decisions. Track/communicate development project status, dependencies, and risks/mitigation strategies to project team and leadership.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience with coding and/or designing in relevant JAVA and/or other JVM languages. 5 years of experience with the design and build of complex software applications in multiple environments. 5 years of experience in the following: Object-Oriented, Concurrent Programming, and Actor Oriented Programming paradigms; Java/J2EE specifications and related patterns, stacks, and frameworks; applying standards for design documentation as instruction for build (e.g. Swagger, API specifications); hosting topologies and architectures (Virtualization, Cloud Computing); SOA architectures and protocols, XML, XML schemas, HTML, SOAP, WSDL, REST API Web Services, JSON, YAML, and XACML; ServiceNow, Sumologic, Kibana, Grafana, Rest Client, SQL, JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, and HP Quality Center.
